Favourite Ian Swift Artwork

My favourite Ian Swift artwork is 'Extreme Surfing' which was exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, 2011. It is a fairly large sculpture (taller than an average person) of an elephant performing a handstand, it is constructed from colourful scraps of metal which have white words written on them. Swift constructed this artwork with the hope that it would inspire people with its bright and fun atmosphere. Many critics have described it as 'a fun piece by Ian Swift' and it was a very popular sculpture at the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. The mix of colour enhanced the beautiful Bondi background and the fitting name (Extreme Surfing) made this sculpture perfect for the exhibition.
